What happens during a divorce hearing?

First court hearing on divorce

After the Court has received the case, a hearing is scheduled. Each party appears with its lawyer.

Before the court hearing, each of the parties’ lawyers has sent a claim document, i.e. a shift where you explain what the parties want (e.g. separation on terms that the husband pays spousal support for 5 years).

Each party gives an explanation

Each party submits an explanation. First, it is the party’s own lawyer who asks questions and then it is the other party’s lawyer who is allowed to ask questions.

After that, each lawyer prosecutes the case, i.e. explains to the court why one’s client must succeed in his claim.

When judgment on divorce conditions?
