Housing trade in Denmark and abroad

Purchase of real estate in Denmark

Property trading in Denmark takes place according to very specific rules.

The estate agent represents the seller, who also pays the broker’s fee. The estate agent provides a home presentation and information about the factual matters in connection with the home and the transaction.

The estate agent does not advise the buyer as his task is solely to look after the seller’s interests and sell the home.

If a buyer wants expert advice, he must find a lawyer who reviews the case files, guarantees that the legal part of the case is in place and can help the buyer during the process, including registration of the deed and preparation of the reimbursement statement.

The buyer’s lawyer exclusively represents the buyer and his expertise is the buyer’s security in the home purchase.
