How do I get divorced?

Divorce without prior separation

It is possible to obtain a divorce without prior separation in the following cases:

• There is an agreement on a divorce
• The other spouse has committed adultery
• The parties have lived separately for 2 years due to disagreement
• Bigamy – i.e. one of the spouses is married to several people at the same time
• If a common child was born abroad

If none of these reasons are present, you can only get divorced after 6 months of separation.
